THE PERSONAL
The Personal is my take on the modern traditional noserider—or my answer to a comp design. It has all the things I love about ’60s style longboards, but with its added hip and tail curves I’ve freed up the more parallel outline of most traditional noseriders. I love how The Personal still lets me rely on solid levitation and hold during long, critical noserides yet because of its tucked edge I’m able to step back on the tail and effortlessly redirect in and around the pocket.

FINS: Single-fin: long box or glass-on
ROCKER: Neutral
RAIL: Neutral from front to mid, then tucked edge in the tail.
BOTTOM CONTOURS: Shallow nose concave then flat bottom with slight panel vee into fins then flat off tail.
TYPE OF WAVES: Best in long, running, bowly walls that are shoulder high to a foot overhead.
